Dialysis Technologists monitor & operate dialysis machine, which removes waste and excess fluids from the blood of patients whose kidneys are no longer functioning properly or satisfactorily. They generally work under a physician or nurse's supervision, usually in a hospital, clinic, or a home-dialysis program. Dialysis Technologists deliver & perform dialysis therapy according to the supervising physician’s prescribed dialysis care regimen for a patient. This includes tasks involving patient care during the therapy such as monitoring the emotional, physical, physiological & chemical condition of the patient, and ensuring the stability of the patient through proper techniques. Dialysis technicians monitor and operate dialysis machinery, which removes waste and excess fluids from the blood of patients whose kidneys are no longer functioning properly. In addition to preparing patients and monitoring dialysis treatment, dialysis technicians also prepare post-treatment reports.
