A medical laboratory scientist (MLS), often known as a medical technologist or a clinical laboratory scientist, assesses a wide range of biological samples. They are in charge of carrying out scientific tests on samples and informing physicians of the results. Medical laboratory professionals use expensive technology such as microscopes to perform challenging tests on patient samples. Students will obtain knowledge that will help them recognize and treat cancer, heart disease, diabetes, and other diseases. The findings of medical laboratory scientists are thought to influence 60 to 70% of all decisions about a patient's diagnosis, treatment, hospital admission, and discharge.
