They are also known as “Operation Room Technicians”, “Scrubs”, or “Operating Theatre Assistants” when working in a hospital environment. Some of the key responsibilities of the Operating Theatre Technician are transporting patients, preparing the operating room for surgery, setting up, checking, connecting, and adjusting surgical equipment, technical assistance to surgeons, cleaning & restock the operating room, arranging instruments, supplies, and equipment according to instruction and position patients for surgery.
