The two-year ANM Nursing Course focuses on auxiliary nursing and midwifery and offers a nursing diploma. After passing their class 12 exam in the science or arts stream, interested candidates can apply for an ANM diploma. The two-year programme has a six-month internship requirement. The ANM diploma is the most fundamental diploma programme one can enrol in to begin a nursing career. Auxiliary nurse midwives are female healthcare workers who serve as the local community's first point of contact for medical services in India. The workers at the bottom of the healthcare pyramid are considered to be ANMs. Graduates of the ANM diploma programme can begin their careers in community health centres in both urban and rural areas. Maternity care and how to help new mothers before, during, and after delivery are topics covered by ANM students. To improve patient, family, and societal health, candidates also receive education on a variety of healthcare-related topics.
